At this time last year, Nick Dunlap was just a regular student-athlete at the University of Alabama, competing on the men’s golf team.
Less than a year later, he was named the 2024 Arnold Palmer Award Rookie of the Year on the PGA Tour.
Dunlap received the award on Thursday at the Crimson Reserve, the Crimson Tide’s state-of-the-art practice facility.
The exceptional golfer spent one-and-a-half seasons at Alabama before making his mark by winning The American Express as an amateur in January.
He turned professional shortly afterward, competing in 23 events and achieving two wins, four top-10 finishes, and seven top-25 finishes during his rookie season.
Notably, Dunlap is the first former Alabama golfer to receive the prestigious award.
