RFK Racing has announced the appointment of veteran crew chief Derrick Finley to lead the No. 60 team, with Ryan Preece as the driver, for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Finley brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise to the role, having previously served in various capacities within NASCAR teams, including as a crew chief and technical director. His comprehensive understanding of race car dynamics and strategic acumen are expected to be instrumental in the development and competitive performance of the No. 60 team.
Team co-owner Brad Keselowski expressed confidence in Finley’s appointment, stating, “His experience and technical knowledge of the sport will play a crucial role in the initial development and growth of the No. 60 team.”
Ryan Preece, who joins RFK Racing following the closure of Stewart-Haas Racing’s operations at the end of the 2024 season, is set to drive the No. 60 Ford Mustang. Preece, 34, has previously competed in the NASCAR Cup Series with JTG-Daugherty Racing and Stewart-Haas Racing, and is eager to leverage this new opportunity to achieve his first Cup Series victory.
The addition of the No. 60 team expands RFK Racing’s lineup to three cars, alongside the No. 6 driven by Brad Keselowski and the No. 17 piloted by Chris Buescher. Keselowski highlighted the strategic advantage of this expansion, noting that having a third team increases the organization’s chances of securing wins and elevating overall performance.
As the 2025 season approaches, the collaboration between Finley and Preece is anticipated to enhance the competitiveness of the No. 60 team. Their combined experience and determination aim to contribute significantly to RFK Racing’s pursuit of excellence in the NASCAR Cup Series.
