National Anthem
Grammy-winning artist Jon Batiste, a New Orleans native, delivered a soulful rendition of the U.S. national anthem. Known for his dynamic performances and deep roots in jazz, Batiste’s interpretation set a poignant tone for the event.

Trombone Shorty, another celebrated New Orleans musician, teamed up with Grammy-winning singer Lauren Daigle to perform “America the Beautiful.” Their collaboration blended Trombone Shorty’s signature brass sound with Daigle’s powerful vocals, offering a unique and stirring rendition of the patriotic song.
“Lift Every Voice and Sing”
Grammy-winning artist Ledisi took the stage to perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” often referred to as the Black national anthem. Her emotive performance paid homage to the song’s significance in American history and culture.

To ensure inclusivity, American Sign Language (ASL) interpretations accompanied the musical performances. Stephanie Nogueras provided ASL renditions for both the national anthem and “America the Beautiful,” while Otis Jones IV interpreted “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
