Wallace’s connection to the Volunteers runs deep. His mother, Desiree, was a track athlete at Tennessee and grew up in Knoxville, fostering his lifelong affinity for the university. Reflecting on this bond, Wallace previously remarked, “It’s really in my blood.”
Throughout his career, Wallace has showcased his support for Tennessee. In September 2024, he attended a Volunteers football game against NC State in Charlotte, North Carolina, sharing his enthusiasm on social media. Additionally, he’s been spotted on campus multiple times, engaging with fans and celebrating the university’s athletic achievements.
The first pitch ceremony will precede the matchup between the top-ranked Volunteers and the Xavier Musketeers, scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.
