The New York Giants have made a significant move in free agency by signing safety Jevon Holland to a three-year, $45.3 million contract, with $30.3 million guaranteed.

Holland, 25, was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft (36th overall) out of Oregon. Over four seasons with the Dolphins, he started 57 of 60 games, recording 301 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hits, 5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, 5 interceptions, and 25 passes defensed.

The Giants’ secondary has undergone a transformation this offseason. In addition to Holland, they’ve added cornerback Paulson Adebo on a $54 million deal, and bolstered their defense with defensive end Chauncey Golston, defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris, and linebacker Chris Board.

Holland’s arrival addresses a key need for the Giants, especially after allowing safety Xavier McKinney to sign with the Packers last year. Holland is expected to pair with Tyler Nubin, aiming to enhance the team’s pass defense.

This acquisition not only strengthens the Giants’ defense but also signals their commitment to building a competitive roster for the upcoming season.
