Bubba Wallace Addresses Texas Crash Amid Retirement Speculation

Bubba Wallace, driver for 23XI Racing, was involved in a significant multi-car crash during Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. The incident occurred when Wallace grazed the wall exiting Turn 2 on a restart, leading to a chain reaction that collected several drivers, including Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney  .

In the aftermath, Wallace took responsibility for the incident, stating, “For sure,” when asked if he was at fault. He added, “No, I blame it on my team. It’s never the driver’s fault,” delivering the comment with a touch of sarcasm  .

Despite the crash and ensuing discussions, Wallace has not announced any plans to retire from NASCAR. He remains under contract with 23XI Racing through the 2025 season and has previously indicated that he would consider retirement only when he feels his competitive edge has diminished  .

While some fans have called for his retirement following recent performances , Wallace continues to focus on his racing career and has not made any official statements regarding stepping away from the sport.

As the season progresses, Wallace and his team will aim to move past the Texas incident and strive for stronger finishes in upcoming races.
