LaJoie is getting back behind the wheel of a NASCAR Truck for nine of the final 13 races this season
Corey LaJoie is set to make a significant return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, having secured a major deal with Spire Motorsports. The seasoned driver will pilot Spire’s No. 07 Chevrolet Silverado in nine of the final 13 races of the 2025 season, marking his most extensive Truck Series schedule in years.
LaJoie, who has been a mainstay in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2016, previously competed full-time in the Truck Series in 2015. His return to the series comes amidst a transitional phase in his career. After parting ways with Spire Motorsports’ Cup program at the end of the 2024 season, LaJoie joined Rick Ware Racing (RWR) to drive the No. 01 Ford Mustang on a part-time basis in 2025 .
Spire Motorsports has been expanding its presence in the Truck Series, fielding competitive entries throughout the season. The team’s No. 07 truck has already seen success in 2025, with Kyle Larson securing a victory at the Baptist Health 200 in March . LaJoie’s addition to the lineup is expected to bolster the team’s performance in the latter part of the season.
The specific races LaJoie will contest have yet to be announced. However, his involvement is anticipated to provide valuable experience and leadership to the team, as well as offer LaJoie an opportunity to showcase his skills in a different competitive environment.
This move signifies a strategic collaboration between LaJoie and Spire Motorsports, reflecting their ongoing professional relationship despite LaJoie’s departure from the team’s Cup Series program. It also underscores Spire’s commitment to strengthening its Truck Series operations by integrating experienced drivers into its roster.
As the 2025 season progresses, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how LaJoie’s return to the Truck Series unfolds and what impact it will have on both his career trajectory and Spire Motorsports’ success in the series.
