Jarrett Allen Teases Jazz and Donovan Mitchell Before NBA Playoffs

The Utah Jazz have experienced a tough season, marking the first time in the team’s history that they have lost 60 games. At the same time, former Jazz player Donovan Mitchell is getting ready for the playoffs with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Mitchell has become a standout player in Cleveland, helping the Cavs secure the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, where they currently hold a four-game lead for the top position. On Sunday, the Cavaliers beat the Los Angeles Clippers and reached a total of 60 wins. After the game, Cavs player Jarrett Allen joked around with Mitchell while talking about his past with the Jazz.

“Getting 60 wins is really special for us. I’m not sure how many wins Don had in Utah,” Allen said when he was asked about hitting the 60-win milestone.

“Sixty wins is impressive; it’s a huge reason to feel proud and happy,” Allen said.

“I agree. I’m always going to be that guy, but it doesn’t really matter,” Mitchell replied. “This year has been amazing.”

The two Cavs stars shared a laugh in a lighthearted setting, even though Allen’s comment came out of nowhere.

Mitchell played his first five seasons with the Utah Jazz before he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. During his time in Utah, the Jazz had two seasons where they won 50 or more games and at least 40 games every year he was there.

Overall, the Jazz won 243 games while Mitchell was with the team, but they did lose in the first round of the NBA Playoffs three times.
