Poole could have taken a closer shot, but he chose to stay well behind the 3-point line and made the shot that allowed the struggling Wizards (15-51) to sweep the season series against the Nuggets. Alex Sarr also had a standout game, scoring a career-high 34 points for Washington, which has a record of 6-4 in its last 10 games.
The game ended in a thrilling way as Kyshawn George sank a wide-open 3-pointer, putting Washington ahead 123-121 with just 10 seconds left. Denver’s Jamal Murray, who scored 24 points and had seven assists along with four steals, tied the game with a 15-foot shot with 5.7 seconds on the clock.
For Denver (43-25), Nikola Jokic delivered an impressive performance with 40 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. Russell Westbrook contributed 22 points and 11 assists, making him the 21st player in NBA history to reach over 26,000 points, finishing the night with a total of 26,013 points.

After sitting out eight games, Porzingis contributed to the Celtics improving their record to 13-1 in their last 14 regular-season matchups against the Nets. Jayson Tatum added 20 points, as the Celtics celebrated their seventh victory in eight games.
