Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has signed a six-year, $330 million contract extension, with $250 million guaranteed, ensuring his stay with the team through the 2030 season. This agreement sets a new NFL record for guaranteed money, surpassing the previous high of $230 million held by Deshaun Watson.

Allen’s performance has been instrumental in the Bills’ recent successes. In the 2024 season, he completed 63.6% of his passes for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and a career-low six interceptions. He also rushed for 531 yards and added 12 touchdowns on the ground. His efforts led the Bills to a 13-4 record and their fifth consecutive AFC East division title.

Despite his individual accolades, Allen has faced challenges in the postseason. The Bills reached the AFC Championship Game twice in the last five seasons but have yet to secure a Super Bowl appearance, often being thwarted by the Kansas City Chiefs.

This contract extension not only rewards Allen’s past contributions but also reflects the Bills’ confidence in his ability to lead the team to future successes, including the pursuit of a Super Bowl title.
