Von Miller’s Girlfriend Denise Makes Instagram Private Following NFL 4-Game Suspension
Buffalo Bills star Von Miller has yet to address the NFL’s announcement of his four-game suspension, while his longtime girlfriend, involved in past legal allegations, has retreated from the spotlight.
On October 1, the NFL revealed Miller’s suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, tied to allegations of assaulting his girlfriend, Megan Denise, last year. An NFL.com report stated that Miller turned himself in to authorities near Dallas in November on accusations of assaulting a pregnant woman, identified as Denise.
Miller did not face charges in the case, and both he and Denise have denied the allegations. On Tuesday, Denise took further steps to withdraw from the public eye by making her Instagram account private.
Von Miller’s Girlfriend Previously Restricted Her Social Media This isn’t the first time Denise has pulled back on social media following public allegations. In November, shortly after the accusations surfaced, she disabled comments on her Instagram account.
Denise also publicly denied the assault claims, telling Dallas news outlet WFAA that there was no physical altercation and that the situation was a “verbal disagreement” that was blown out of proportion.
“We’re fine,” Denise told WFAA. “Things were taken out of context. This is outrageous!”
“No one assaulted anyone,” she added. “This is insane. And sad.”
Miller has also strongly denied the accusations, insisting that he is innocent and working to clear his name.
“When you see something like that attached to your name, it’s shocking,” Miller said during a December 2023 press conference. “But it’s 100% false. It’s been exaggerated. I’ve got the right team handling it.”
“The only thing that’s true is that we’re expecting our third son,” Miller added. “Everything else is untrue.”
Von Miller’s Previous Allegations
Miller has faced earlier allegations involving Denise. In January 2021, The Washington Post reported that police in Parker, Colorado, were investigating him for an undisclosed matter while he was playing for the Denver Broncos.
“No charges have been filed, and police declined to offer more details as the investigation is ongoing,” the report said. “However, a source familiar with the case revealed the investigation involved interactions with his former girlfriend, including text messages she allegedly posted on social media.”
The report mentioned that Denise, described as an ex-girlfriend, had shared an Instagram story with an ultrasound image and screenshots of threatening messages she claimed were from Miller.
“My heart goes out to anyone who has experienced mental, physical, or verbal abuse,” Denise wrote in another Instagram post. “Praying death on me and my family was the final straw!”
