Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams is reportedly facing a two-game suspension, as stated by ESPN’s Eric Woodyard.
According to Woodyard, the suspension stems from Williams violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Substances policy.
Williams told ESPN he has “no choice but to take it on the chin,” adding, “I’m in good spirits, just ready to get back with my brothers ASAP.”
It remains unclear whether the suspension is final, as it has yet to be confirmed by the NFL.
The 23-year-old was previously suspended for six games last year for violating the league’s gambling policy, a penalty later reduced to four games after the NFL modified its rules.
Williams also missed 11 games during his rookie season due to injury and five games last season.
This season, Williams has caught 17 of 30 targets for 361 yards, averaging 21.2 yards per reception, with three touchdowns.
Over 24 career games with Detroit, he has recorded 42 catches for 756 yards and six touchdowns, along with eight carries for 101 yards and one score.
