Jason Kelce found himself at the center of an unexpected confrontation with a fan during the highly anticipated No. 3 Penn State vs. No. 4 Ohio State college football game on Saturday.
The former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman appeared on ESPN’s “College GameDay” ahead of kickoff.
Kelce attempted Pat McAfee’s well-known field goal kick for a $100,000 donation toward hurricane relief, though he missed both attempts.
Later that day, Kelce was spotted outside Penn State’s Beaver Stadium.
As he walked, surrounded by a crowd of students, a fan aimed an insult at his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who has been dating pop star Taylor Swift since late 2023.
“Hey Kelce, how does it feel your brother is a (expletive) (for) dating Taylor Swift?” the fan shouted, trailing behind Kelce and recording him on video.
Kelce initially kept walking but turned around to confront the fan after they continued heckling.
The 36-year-old retired NFL star then grabbed the fan’s phone and smashed it on the ground before picking it up and walking away with it.
In the original video, which quickly went viral with over two million views on X within the first two hours, a sudden silence from the crowd replaced the previous clamor.
Shortly after, Kelce was seen by onlookers confronting the same fan.
“Give me my phone,” the fan, dressed in a hooded sweatshirt, pleaded.
“Who’s the (expletive) now?” Kelce responded bluntly as he moved closer to the fan, while a few bystanders briefly held him back.
