Quaydarius Davis Arrested After Ring Camera Captures Alleged Assault on Ex-Girlfriend

Quaydarius Davis, a 22-year-old former college football wide receiver once considered a promising NFL prospect, was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on April 12, 2025, following the emergence of disturbing footage allegedly showing him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Ja’Yunna Monae.

The incident, captured by a neighbor’s Ring doorbell camera, reportedly shows Davis kicking in Monae’s apartment door, entering the residence, and later choking her until she lost consciousness. After the assault, Davis allegedly re-entered the apartment and took several items.

Monae confirmed the authenticity of the footage on social media, stating, “Everything is captured… I called the police, my neighbors called the police… I will be pressing charges, and NO I AM NOT GOING BACK.” She also expressed gratitude for surviving the ordeal, noting that while her neck was sore and bruised, she was otherwise okay.

Davis faces charges of first-degree burglary and domestic assault and battery by strangulation. He is currently held in the Tulsa County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

This is not Davis’s first encounter with allegations of domestic violence. In 2021, the University of Kansas terminated its recruitment of Davis after online accusations of domestic abuse surfaced. More recently, he was dismissed from Southern University in October 2024 for violating team rules.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for Davis to face the full extent of the law. As the legal process unfolds, the case serves as a stark reminder of the serious consequences of domestic violence and the importance of holding perpetrators accountable.
