Ryan Ramczyk Announces Retirement from NFL After Decorated Saints Career

New Orleans Saints right tackle Ryan Ramczyk has officially announced his retirement from the NFL, concluding a distinguished career that spanned from 2017 to 2023. The 30-year-old All-Pro made the announcement on April 17, 2025, via an Instagram post.

Ramczyk, who was drafted by the Saints in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, quickly established himself as a cornerstone of the team’s offensive line. He earned All-Pro honors three times and was instrumental in protecting quarterbacks and anchoring the right side of the line.

However, a degenerative knee condition sidelined Ramczyk for the entire 2024 season. In January 2025, he restructured his contract, reducing his $18 million base salary to the league minimum. This move freed up over $16 million in cap space for the Saints and signaled his impending retirement.

As part of his farewell to the NFL, Ramczyk is set to announce the Saints’ Day 2 draft picks during the 2025 NFL Draft. This gesture allows fans to celebrate his contributions to the team and the league.

Ryan Ramczyk’s retirement marks the end of an era for the Saints’ offensive line. His leadership and performance set a high standard, and his presence will be missed both on and off the field.
