The San Francisco 49ers have fallen far short of last season’s Super Bowl run, and it’s looking increasingly likely they will miss the playoffs in 2024.
Plagued by injuries and declines in key areas, the 49ers sit last in the NFC West with a 5-7 record and five games remaining.
Despite their struggles, four 49ers players remain among the top vote-getters for this year’s Pro Bowl Games.
In the fan vote—accounting for one-third of player selections along with votes from players and coaches—fullback Kyle Juszczyk, tight end George Kittle, defensive end Nick Bosa, and linebacker Fred Warner lead at their respective positions in the NFC.
Kittle’s top ranking among tight ends comes as no surprise. He has been the 49ers’ standout offensive player this season, further cementing his status as the best all-around tight end in football.
With 649 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, Kittle is on track for his fourth 1,000-yard campaign.
Juszczyk is poised for his ninth Pro Bowl selection, as no other player at his position matches his versatility as both a blocker and receiver.
Bosa, despite missing the last two games due to injury, remains one of the league’s most effective edge rushers.
His seven sacks trail only Dante Fowler Jr. (8.5) and Aidan Hutchinson (7.5) among NFC edge defenders.
With Hutchinson now sidelined for the season, Bosa’s dominance remains notable.
Warner, who started the season strong, has been battling through a broken ankle since Week 4. Even so, he continues to perform at an elite level.
Among linebackers with at least 100 snaps, only Zack Baun has a higher Pro Football Focus grade.
Playing through injury, Warner remains one of the best defensive players in the league and is on track to receive well-deserved recognition.
