Christian Rose Shifts to Part-Time Schedule in NASCAR Truck Series Due to Sponsorship Changes

Niece Motorsports has announced that Christian Rose, who was originally set to compete full-time in the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will scale back to a part-time schedule due to unforeseen sponsorship changes.

The decision marks an unexpected shift in plans for Rose, who had been preparing for his first full-season effort in the Truck Series. Despite the setback, he will remain with Niece Motorsports, and the team is working to finalize his updated race schedule.

Niece Motorsports Issues Statement

In an official statement, Niece Motorsports expressed their continued support for Rose while acknowledging the challenges that come with securing sponsorship in NASCAR.

“Due to unexpected changes in sponsorship, Christian Rose will transition to a part-time schedule in the No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado this season. Christian remains a valued member of Niece Motorsports, and we look forward to having him behind the wheel in select races throughout 2024. We appreciate his dedication and the support of his fans and partners as we navigate these changes.”

Bayley Currey to Fill in at Daytona

With Rose scaling back, Bayley Currey has been named the interim driver of the No. 44 Chevrolet for the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. Currey, a seasoned competitor in NASCAR’s national series, will look to kick off the Truck Series season with a strong run on the high banks of Daytona.

What’s Next for Rose?

While Rose’s full race schedule has yet to be determined, he remains committed to competing when possible and is actively working with Niece Motorsports to secure additional sponsorship.

“This isn’t the situation we planned for, but I’m still grateful for the opportunity to race with Niece Motorsports and will continue working to get back on track full-time,” Rose said.

With the 2024 NASCAR Truck Series season beginning at Daytona, Niece Motorsports is now focused on adjusting its driver lineup while ensuring Rose remains part of their long-term plans. As sponsorship opportunities develop, fans can expect to see him return to the No. 44 Chevrolet in select races throughout the year.
