This weekend, NASCAR fans are in for a treat as the highly anticipated Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium kicks off. Known as “The Madhouse,” Bowman Gray’s quarter-mile bullring will host a thrilling lineup of racing, featuring Modifieds and NASCAR Cup Series action under the lights. With a packed schedule, here’s what to expect on Saturday and Sunday:

Saturday Highlights: Modified Madness and Cup Preparation
Saturday will feature plenty of on-track activity, starting with the Modified division taking center stage. Known for their aggressive racing style and close battles, the Modifieds promise to deliver fireworks.
• 11:15 AM ET: The action begins with Modified practice, as drivers fine-tune their setups for the day ahead.
• 12:00 PM ET: Modified qualifying will determine the starting lineup for the feature event, adding an extra layer of tension as drivers push their limits for the best grid position.
• 1:45 PM ET: The FloRacing Modified feature race gets underway, with 125 laps (or 90 minutes, whichever comes first) of action-packed racing. Expect hard-nosed battles, as Bowman Gray’s tight confines always deliver drama.
Later in the evening, the focus shifts to the NASCAR Cup Series, as the stars of the sport hit the track for their first competitive sessions of the weekend:
• 6:10 PM ET on FS1: Cup Series practice features three groups, each getting three sessions apiece to dial in their cars for the heats and main event.
• 8:30 PM ET on FS1: The Cup Series heats kick off. Four heats, each 25 laps, will set the starting lineup for the main event. With only limited time to move through the field, drivers will need to bring their A-game.
Sunday Showdown: LCQ and The Clash
Sunday night belongs to the Cup Series, as two marquee events will close out the weekend:
• 6:00 PM ET on FOX: The Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) gives drivers one final opportunity to earn a spot in the main event. With 75 laps on tap, the intensity will be through the roof as teams battle for their place in the Clash.
• 8:00 PM ET on FOX: The Clash itself—the 200-lap feature race—caps off the weekend. As one of the most unique events on the NASCAR calendar, the Clash at Bowman Gray promises plenty of bump-and-run racing, close-quarters action, and a showcase of skill from NASCAR’s best.
