Jeff Stankiewicz, CR7 Motorsports Part Ways Ahead of New Hampshire Truck Race
LOUDON, N.H. – CR7 Motorsports will have a new face atop the pit box this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, as the team and crew chief Jeff Stankiewicz have mutually agreed to part ways heading into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event.

The shakeup comes at a pivotal point in the season for the Statesville, N.C.-based organization. Stankiewicz, a veteran crew chief with experience across all three of NASCAR’s national series, had been guiding the No. 9 Chevrolet team’s efforts in 2025. While results have been mixed, Stankiewicz brought a wealth of knowledge and stability to the program.
In the interim, Michael Shelton, the team’s General Manager, will step in as crew chief. Shelton is no stranger to the role, having previously served as crew chief for several Truck Series teams, including championship-caliber efforts. His leadership is expected to provide continuity as CR7 works through the transition.
“We’re grateful for everything Jeff has contributed to CR7 Motorsports and wish him the best moving forward,” the team said in a statement. “Michael brings extensive experience and familiarity with our program, and we’re confident in his ability to help us compete at a high level starting this weekend at New Hampshire.”
The decision comes just as the Truck Series heads to the “Magic Mile,” a flat, one-mile oval known for its tight racing and emphasis on track position. For a smaller, independent team like CR7, maximizing strategy and execution will be critical—and Shelton’s return to the pit box could give them a steady hand at a crucial time.
Stankiewicz’s next move has not been announced. Given his resume, which includes time with championship-winning organizations in the Xfinity and Truck Series, it’s unlikely he’ll remain on the sidelines for long.
For CR7 Motorsports, the focus now shifts to closing out the season strong and building momentum for 2026. With Shelton calling the shots, the team hopes to stabilize and make the most of opportunities in the final stretch.
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is set for Saturday afternoon, with coverage on FS1.
