Kyle Busch and Richard Childress Racing (RCR) are set to continue their collaboration in the NASCAR Cup Series, reaffirming their commitment despite recent challenges. Busch, a two-time Cup Series champion, joined RCR in 2023 after a 15-year tenure with Joe Gibbs Racing. His inaugural season with RCR was promising, securing three victories and a spot in the playoffs. However, the 2024 season proved difficult, marking the first time in his career that Busch went winless and finished 20th in the standings .

Despite these setbacks, both Busch and RCR have shown a renewed commitment to success. Busch has emphasized the importance of returning to Victory Lane and achieving consistent top-five and top-ten finishes as key goals for the team . RCR has responded by investing in team improvements, including the appointment of Mike Verlander, former president of Kyle Busch Motorsports, as chief operating officer, and promoting Jennifer White to chief marketing officer .
Sponsorship support has also been strong. Morgan & Morgan, America’s largest injury law firm, has extended its multi-year sponsorship with Busch and RCR, ensuring continued branding on the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 . Additionally, Bank OZK has entered into a multi-year, multi-race sponsorship deal, becoming the primary sponsor for select races starting in 2025 .
As the 2025 season progresses, Busch and RCR aim to build on their partnership, striving for improved performance and a return to the competitive form that both parties expect. With strategic team changes and strong sponsorship backing, they are poised to make significant strides in the NASCAR Cup Series.
