Connor Zilisch secured the pole position for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway, leading a JR Motorsports front-row sweep alongside teammate Carson Kvapil. Zilisch posted a lap time of 19.888 seconds, achieving a speed of 95.213 mph. This marks Zilisch’s third career Xfinity Series pole and his first on an oval track.   
Reflecting on his performance, Zilisch expressed excitement about his achievement. The starting lineup for the upcoming race features Zilisch in the No. 88 Chevrolet on the pole, with Kvapil in the No. 1 Chevrolet beside him. Austin Hill and Jesse Love, both from Richard Childress Racing, will start third and fourth, respectively.  
The race, known as the US Marine Corps 250, is scheduled to begin at approximately 4 p.m. CT on Saturday. It will be broadcast on the CW Network and covered on radio by MRN.
