NASCAR driver Josh Berry, who attended Hendersonville High School in Tennessee alongside pop superstar Taylor Swift, has recently voiced his exasperation regarding persistent questions about Swift and her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce.
In a candid discussion on the “Rubbin is Racing” podcast, Berry shared that his high school connection to Swift has led to ongoing media attention, especially since Swift’s high-profile romance with Kelce began. Berry remarked, “Then she starts dating Travis Kelce and it all comes back again. I’m like, ‘I don’t care about Travis Kelce. He has nothing to do with me.’”
Berry emphasized that while he and Swift attended the same school, they were in different grades and did not have a personal relationship. He noted that mentioning this connection in interviews has inadvertently led to a recurring focus on Swift and her personal life, overshadowing his own professional achievements in NASCAR.
Despite the media’s fascination with his past association with Swift, Berry remains focused on his racing career. He recently secured his first NASCAR Cup Series win at the Pennzoil 400 in Las Vegas, a significant milestone that he hopes will shift the narrative back to his accomplishments on the track.
As Berry continues to make strides in his racing career, he seeks to steer conversations away from his high school years and towards his current endeavors in NASCAR.
