NASCAR’s Tim Clark Elected to The Ad Council Board of Directors

In a move that further solidifies NASCAR’s influence beyond the racetrack, Tim Clark, Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer at NASCAR, has been elected to the Board of Directors for The Ad Council. The non-profit organization is renowned for producing, promoting, and distributing impactful public service announcements (PSAs) for a wide array of social causes and initiatives.

Clark brings with him a wealth of experience in digital strategy and fan engagement. Under his leadership, NASCAR has made significant strides in digital innovation and content creation, helping to grow the sport’s online presence and engage a younger, more diverse audience. His election to the Ad Council board is expected to strengthen the organization’s efforts to meet people where they are—online and in real time—with timely and relevant messages.

“NASCAR has always had a powerful platform for raising awareness,” Clark said. “Joining the Ad Council Board allows me to extend that platform to support causes that matter across the country.”

Clark will join a prestigious roster of industry leaders on the board, including Andrea Brimmer, Chief Marketing and PR Officer at Ally Financial—a familiar name to NASCAR fans as the sponsor of Hendrick Motorsports’ No. 5 Chevrolet driven by Kyle Larson. Brimmer’s presence on the board signals a growing connection between corporate leaders in sports and the broader mission of public good.

The Ad Council’s Board of Directors plays a critical role in guiding the organization’s campaigns, which have tackled topics ranging from mental health and emergency preparedness to diversity, inclusion, and COVID-19 education. By tapping into the expertise of leaders across media, marketing, and entertainment, the organization ensures that its messaging resonates with wide and varied audiences.

Clark’s addition to the board highlights NASCAR’s continued commitment to social impact and community engagement. It’s another reminder that the world of motorsports is more than just racing—it’s a powerful platform for change.
