The Philadelphia Eagles have released running back Audric Estimé from their practice squad, officially making the former Denver Broncos draft pick a free agent, according to team reports.
Estimé, who was selected by the Broncos in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, joined the Eagles’ practice squad earlier this season after being waived by Denver. The rookie running back out of Notre Dame was regarded as a strong, physical rusher with solid vision and downhill power, but opportunities to break into the active roster have been limited in Philadelphia’s deep backfield.

During his collegiate career with the Fighting Irish, Estimé built a reputation as one of the most reliable and punishing runners in the country, amassing over 2,500 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns across three seasons. His blend of size and strength made him an intriguing mid-round pick for the Broncos, but after an offseason of roster adjustments, his future with the team — and later the Eagles — became uncertain.
The Eagles’ decision to part ways with Estimé opens the door for him to explore new opportunities across the league. Several teams in need of running back depth could take a look at the young prospect, especially those seeking a power runner capable of handling short-yardage and goal-line duties.
For now, Audric Estimé enters free agency with his NFL journey still in its early stages — and plenty of potential left to prove.
