Spire Motorsports has announced that Andrés Pérez de Lara, the 2024 ARCA Menards Series champion, will drive the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado full-time in the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Pérez de Lara, a native of Mexico City, Mexico, began his racing career in karting at the age of 11 before progressing to L-A Formula 4 and NASCAR Mexico Trucks competition. He clinched the 2022 NASCAR Mexico Challenge Series championship and secured his first NASCAR Mexico Series victory at Ovalo Aguascalientes Mexico.
In 2024, Pérez de Lara made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut with Spire Motorsports at World Wide Technology Raceway, where he qualified 16th and finished ninth. This performance, coupled with his ARCA championship, paved the way for his full-time opportunity in 2025.
Veteran crew chief Chad Walter, who previously led Spire Motorsports’ No. 71 Truck Series team to notable successes, including a win and multiple top-five finishes, will oversee the No. 77 team’s efforts in 2025.
Pérez de Lara’s signing aligns with Spire Motorsports’ strategy to cultivate emerging talent within NASCAR. Co-owner Jeff Dickerson expressed enthusiasm about Pérez de Lara’s potential, stating, “Andrés Pérez de Lara has a very bright future. He has a huge upside and is already integrated into our processes and methods of preparation. We’re thrilled to officially add him to the Spire family.”

Pérez de Lara will commence his pursuit of the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rookie of the Year honors at the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway on February 14.
