Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) is set to enhance the fan experience during the upcoming Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart weekend by bringing back the popular Sea Lion Splash attraction.
After captivating audiences in the spring, these rescued sea lions will return to the AMS Fan Zone from June 27-28, 2025, offering entertaining and educational performances.
The Sea Lion Splash showcases the unique bond between the sea lions and their handlers, highlighting natural behaviors, performing tricks, and providing photo opportunities for attendees. Their previous appearance left a lasting impression, prompting AMS to reintroduce this engaging act.
Brandon Hutchison, AMS Executive Vice President and General Manager, expressed enthusiasm about their return, stating, “Our team is always looking for ways to make a splash with our fan entertainment, and the sea lions certainly did that in February.”
In addition to the Sea Lion Splash, the Fan Zone will feature various attractions, including the Speedway Experience Powered by EchoPark Automotive, a Kids Zone, and appearances by NASCAR drivers. All these activities are complimentary for fans attending the Quaker State 400 weekend.
The weekend promises thrilling night racing action, with the NASCAR Xfinity Series kicking off on Friday, June 27, followed by the NASCAR Cup Series’ first-ever Saturday night race at AMS on June 28.
The inclusion of family-friendly entertainment like the Sea Lion Splash aims to create a memorable experience for attendees of all ages.
