Mears just turned 47 yesterday, yet his racing activities show no signs of slowing down. He competed in the Baja 1000 in both 2023 and 2024, piloted an IMCA dirt modified earlier this year, and was back in a race car at Thermal last year. With that kind of recent experience, he should have no trouble getting approval for at least a short track event.
