Recently, her WWE contract came to an end, which means she is no longer part of the organization.
Carmella last competed in WWE in March 2023. A few months later, she shared the news of her pregnancy, and in November 2023, she welcomed her first son with her husband, WWE announcer Corey Graves.
After giving birth, Carmella opened up about her struggle with drop foot, a condition that made it hard for her to return to the ring. She feels that WWE is punishing her for becoming a mother.
“It feels like a terrible way to finish a twelve-year career with the company. This is how it ends. I got a call saying my contract was up in ten days… and then I was completely ignored.
I keep thinking, what if this is the end for me? What am I supposed to do now? What can I offer? Why wasn’t I given a chance somewhere else? It feels like I’m being punished just because I had a baby.”
