Ralph Beckett’s son of Territories has shown his quality, securing a win at Kempton Park at this level last December.
The three-year-old has continued to progress this season with back-to-back victories in recent months, both over seven furlongs.
His latest, and perhaps best, performance came at Redcar, where he narrowly defeated Northern Express by half a length in a listed event.
He may face his strongest competition from stablemate Qirat, who has two wins at Goodwood and recently finished second to Volterra at Ascot in the Challenge Cup, 25 days ago.
MAKANAH looks well-suited to conditions in the Advertise Your Business At Nottingham Racecourse Handicap (3.08) over five furlongs.
The son of Mayson won a handicap at Redcar in August and recently showed a resurgence in form with a close second, three-quarters of a length behind Sergeant Pep, on heavy ground in a Leicester handicap 22 days ago.
The nine-year-old remains in strong form under Julie Camacho’s training and could secure his second win of the season.
