Carl Edwards is set to join Prime Video’s NASCAR broadcast team as a studio analyst.

Former NASCAR star Carl Edwards is reportedly set to join Amazon Prime Video’s NASCAR broadcast team as a studio analyst for the 2025 season. This move marks a significant return to the sport for Edwards, who stepped away from competitive racing in 2016.

Edwards, a 28-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner, has been exploring opportunities in broadcasting. In a recent interview, he expressed interest in television work and mentioned plans to be at the track in 2025. He reflected on his previous experience in the broadcast booth, stating, “I had more fun than I thought I would have last year at Darlington up in the booth… I enjoyed kind of calling the race… That part I enjoyed.”

Amazon Prime Video, which secured a portion of NASCAR’s broadcasting rights in a landmark media deal, has been assembling its on-air talent for the upcoming season. The platform previously announced that NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., race analyst Steve Letarte, and race caller Adam Alexander would be part of their inaugural broadcast booth. The addition of Edwards is expected to enhance the depth and perspective of the coverage.

Edwards’ transition to broadcasting is not entirely new. He has prior experience as a guest commentator, notably joining the Fox Sports booth during the 2023 Darlington race. His insights and engaging commentary were well-received, paving the way for this more permanent role.

Fans are eager to see Edwards bring his firsthand racing experience to the broadcast team. His return, alongside other NASCAR legends, is anticipated to offer viewers enriched race analyses and a deeper connection to the sport.

As the 2025 NASCAR season approaches, Amazon Prime Video’s broadcast lineup, bolstered by Edwards’ inclusion, is set to deliver comprehensive and dynamic coverage to racing enthusiasts worldwide.
