Daytona Beach, FL – NASCAR driver Corey Heim and his No. 11 TRICON Garage team have gained a special new team member—5-year-old Mikey, a brave cancer survivor whose love for racing and Heim’s truck inspired a heartwarming connection.

Mikey, who has battled cancer with incredible strength, caught Heim’s attention when he transformed his walker into a replica of the No. 11 truck for Halloween. The gesture not only showcased his creativity but also his passion for the sport and admiration for Heim. When the TRICON Garage team saw Mikey’s dedication, they knew they had to do something special.
A New Member of the Team
In response to Mikey’s touching tribute, Heim and his crew made the young fan an honorary part of the team, ensuring he feels like one of their own.
“Seeing Mikey’s story and his love for our truck really hit home for us,” Heim said. “He’s been through so much at such a young age, and his strength is beyond inspiring. We knew we had to make him part of our team.”
The team welcomed Mikey with open arms, giving him a behind-the-scenes experience and making sure he knows he’s not just a fan—he’s family.
The NASCAR Community Rallies Behind Mikey
