The MIA School of Race Engineering is excited to announce that Callum Cripps will be joining as a tutor for the newly introduced Race Engineering Communications module, scheduled for February 15, 2025.

Callum Cripps brings a wealth of experience to the program, having competed in various racing disciplines, including karting, Ginetta GT5, Formula Renault, and EuroNASCAR. His diverse background equips him with valuable insights into the communication dynamics between drivers and race engineers.
The Race Engineering Communications module aims to enhance participants’ understanding of effective communication strategies throughout a race event. Key topics include:
• Pre-Event Communication: Strategies for conveying decisions to the race team and drivers before the race, including track walks and strategy planning.
• During the Race – Radio Communications: Techniques for managing driver-to-engineer communications, handling unexpected situations, and alternative communication methods when radio is unavailable.
• Post-Event Debrief: Methods for discussing race outcomes with the team and driver, identifying areas for improvement, and planning for future events.
Participants will also benefit from Callum’s perspective as a racing driver, gaining an understanding of how drivers process information during a race weekend.

Registration for the Race Engineering Communications module is now open. Aspiring race engineers and motorsport enthusiasts are encouraged to enroll to learn from industry professionals like Callum Cripps.
