Aliyah Boston’s Bold Challenge to Caitlin Clark After Impressive LPGA Pro-Am Performance

Early Wednesday morning, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark showcased her skills on the golf course, participating in The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge, an LPGA pro-am event held at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.

The former Iowa standout was joined by four different teammates throughout the competition, including Nelly Korda, the world’s No. 1 ranked women’s golfer, during the first half, and Annika Sörenstam, a World Golf Hall of Famer and the event’s namesake, in the latter half.

Clark and her team concluded the day with a -11 net par, tying for the eighth-best score alongside four other teams.

The top score of the event, a -22, was achieved by a team that featured professional golfers Thailand’s Thidapa Suwannapura and Japan’s Mao Saigo.

On Thursday night, Clark took to Instagram to highlight her golfing experience, sharing a series of photos from the event.

Aliyah Boston, Clark’s All-Star teammate on the Fever, chimed in with a comment, making a playful request of the All-WNBA first-teamer.

“What can’t you do?” Boston asked. “Can you teach me how to golf? Trying to add it to my resume.”

Clark responded with enthusiasm, suggesting, “let’s make a tiktok bout it,” accompanied by a devil emoji. Boston quickly replied, “I’m ready when you are, sista gurlll.”

Clark and Boston emerged as one of the top guard/forward duos in the WNBA during the 2024 season.

Alongside fellow guard Kelsey Mitchell, both players earned All-Star selections while propelling Indiana to its first postseason appearance since 2016.

Boston, a former South Carolina Gamecocks star, experienced a slight dip in her scoring average from her 2023 rookie season to 2024, posting 14.0 points on 52.9% shooting.

However, she achieved career-highs in rebounds (8.9) and assists (3.2) per game.

With the addition of 2023 Coach of the Year Stephanie White, the Fever boasts a promising young core that could be a championship contender for years to come, especially with White’s expertise guiding the team forward.
